DETAILS:
~Main East Boat Ramp: 8am-2pm
~Entry Fee: $20 per boat/2 anglers ($10 per angler)
~OPEN to any students in grades 7th-12th
~Prizes given to the top boats
~BONUS Prizes given to the top school team, a combination of 2 boats from the same school
~No membership of any kind is needed to participate
~Boat Captains must be 18 years or older, and cannot fish during the event
~Register TODAY for a good boat draw
General Rules- Full rule sheet available on left of page:
~5 bass per boat~~~12-inch length limit: Largemouth/Smallmouth
~Artificial lures only
~Dead bass= 1# deduction
~Short Bass= 1# deduction
~Late to weigh-in= 1# per minute
~All fish must be released after tournament weigh-in
~ALL boats must fish 30 yards (about 5 boat lengths) away from each other
~Boat must have an aerated livewell system, capable of recirculating water (live weigh-in)
~Order of Starting position is by when entry is received
Captain Expectations:
~ Captains will run the large motor at all times (5mph speed limit)
~ Captains can operate the trolling motor, or allow students to do so
~ Captains should help with livewells to ensure all fish are kept alive, including culling bass
~ Captains may NOT cast or reel in lines
~ Captains can help with knots, bait selection, netting fish, and where to fish
~ Captains should make this as educational as they can for the kids, share your knowledge
