May 11th, 2024:
The Iowa High School Bass Team Championship at beautiful Lake MacBride, presented by SCHEELS was held on a spectacular day in Eastern Iowa. This year marked the 6th year that this event has been held. This is an annual Event, held each year the day before Mother's Day. 2024 brought RECORD numbers of boats for this event, 75 in total searched the lake for bass to try to claim the top prizes, including the CHAMPIONSHIP RINGS! This year we had 150 kids fishing at this open event, another new record! A huge thanks to the captains, and your Tournament Director Todd Reed for keeping this great event rolling. Other helping this event to flow smoothly were Jeremia Matz, Chad O'Brien, Randy Toale, Jackson Toale and Keith Donnelly. A HUGE thanks to the sponsors that helped to put OVER $4,000 of fishing gear and gift cards into the kids' hands at this event. SCHEELS of Cedar Falls, Lew's Fishing, X-Zone Lures, The Rod Glove, and Hot Rod Baits. "The more kids that are fishing, the better!"
